Duo sur Canap’ is, at its heart, a love story!
Éric Bredar and Audrey Maarek, partners in both life and art, felt inspired in 2018 to assemble an especially eclectic song repertoire. Their vision was to craft entirely acoustic versions of songs from various genres that have marked their lives and journeys in some way. This endeavor resulted in a collection of songs spanning from the 1920s to the present day. From jazz standards to French chansons and English pop, the duo offers a journey through time, echoing tunes that have become part of our collective consciousness. In their performances, original compositions also find their spotlight, adding a unique flavor to their shows.

From jazz standards to french songs and english pop, the duo proposes a very eclectic repertoire through total acoustic versions. They offer a journey through time, echoing tunes that live with us or have become part of our collective consciousness, for our biggest pleasure. Éric Bredar gives on the piano skillful arrangements that provide an orchestral dimension and great settings to the warm and enveloping Audrey Maarek’s voice. It is often with humor and always with simplicity and authenticity that these two musicians invite us to share songs and original compositions that had punctuated their lives and paths.
